This premium residence is located in Destin Pointe, a gated community right off Destin Pass. The top two floors of the residence were badly damaged by the winds from Hurricane Ivan and the bottom floor was washed away by the surge. The tile roof was missing tiles, the stucco was breached and several windows and the ocean front French doors were blown in. The interior of this residence had high ceilings, textured walls, custom cabinets and every modern convenience throughout.
Complete General Contractors, Inc. was requested to review the estimate provided by the insurer to try to establish the proper values for the repair on a premium residence like this. We have had experience with many other similar homes over the years both as an expert and a contractor. In addition to the expert services we have provided we have also worked to keep the building safe from the floods in 2008, including hurricanes Ike and Gustav that caused severe erosion in this community. Our work has included placing very large sand tubes around the pilings so as to stabilize the sand that acts by friction to hold the house up.
