The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are a Double-A Minor League Baseball team in the Southern League and the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. The team began play in Pensacola in 2012 after the former Carolina Mudcats franchise relocated from Zebulon, North Carolina, bringing affiliated Double-A baseball to the Pensacola waterfront.
The Blue Wahoos play at Admiral Fetterman Field at Blue Wahoos Stadium, located inside the Vince J. Whibbs Sr. Community Maritime Park. The ballpark is known for its beautiful view of Pensacola Bay and its family-friendly game-day atmosphere.
Since arriving in Pensacola, the Blue Wahoos have become a downtown favorite, winning Southern League titles in 2017 and 2022 and continuing to bring fans together for baseball, fireworks, promotions, and community events.
