Project Overview
Team Complete, led by John Minor, was retained by a large plaintiff’s law firm to serve as the independent appraiser for the insured in a complex, multi-building insurance claim arising from hurricane-related wind damage at the Cypress Court Apartments in Fort Myers, Florida.
Property Details
The property comprises three two-story buildings with 68 living units totaling over 53,000 square feet. Given the scale and configuration of the asset, the assignment required detailed, building-by-building and unit-level evaluations to accurately assess the impact of Hurricane Ian’s 120–130 mph winds (Date of Loss: September 28, 2022).
Assessment & Approach
Team Complete conducted a thorough on-site inspection, assessed the damage, and developed a well-supported appraisal position based on our observations, training, and experience. Our expertise and documentation helped facilitate this appraisal, culminating in a successful three-party award and a fair, equitable resolution of the claim.
Results
This successful result demonstrates Team Complete’s capability in managing large-scale, multi-family properties, complex hurricane losses, and challenging appraisals where precision, credibility, and results are critical.
